AI Enablement Program

Wilmar AI Hub

One home for our AI journey — a skills matrix to map and grow what you can do, a tools matrix to pick the right tool for each task, a training calendar for the sessions ahead, and an Ideation Center for colleague projects and ideas.

How to use this framework

  1. Read the tiers & skills — see what each level looks like and the 18 skills that make it up.
  2. Check the target matrix — find the target level set for your role on each skill.
  3. Self-assess — enter your name, job title and tier, then score yourself 0–4 and tick what you want to learn.
  4. Follow your learning path — close the gaps using the curated resources, then save your development plan.
01

AI capability tiers

Four tiers describe how deeply a person works with AI. Your tier is a guide, not a grade.

02

The skills, by category

18 concrete AI skills grouped into six categories. Each is a real thing you can do at your desk — not theory. Every skill is flagged with where it works: many run on basic Copilot, some need an enterprise licence or Claude.

03

Target matrix

Tier qualification — minimum level on each skill to reach each tier

This matrix is a general reference, not a strict checklist. To actually qualify for Tier 3 (AI Power User), you need level 3 on at least 12 of these 18 skills; choose whichever skills are most relevant to your role. Tier 4 (AI Champion) is the opt-in stretch goal. Hover a skill code for its name.

Level 0 1 2 3 4
0 None · 1 Aware · 2 Guided · 3 Independent · 4 Coach

How you earn a level: reach Level 2 by joining a training session or watching a tutorial and following along. Reach Level 3 by working on something individually and showing the result to Xinran.

04

Your self-assessment & gap analysis

This is a repeatable self-assessment for you to understand your current AI level and identify the gap to reach your goal. Do it now, then again in about six months to track your progress. If you've done it before, load your previous plan to see how far you've come. The Target for each skill defaults to your tier's baseline — use the +/− buttons to adjust it if a skill matters more or less for your role. Enter your current level (0–4) for every skill and tick "want to learn" for anything you'd like to develop. Click Save development plan to download an Excel — keep it as your record for next time.

Enter your details above to begin.
05

Learning paths

Three staged paths. Start at Foundation (everyone), then move to the path that matches your role. Each step links to a resource in the table below.

06

Curated resources

Hand-picked videos, docs and guides — free YouTube plus official Microsoft and Claude docs — organised by category and skill, with the minimum licence each resource’s tool needs. Start with the one marked .

Licence key: Basic & Premium = works on the free Copilot Chat (so Premium too) · Premium = needs the paid Microsoft 365 Copilot add-on · Claude Team = a Claude work account · All = no specific licence · Copilot Studio = a Copilot Studio trial/licence.

A

The tools we use

We have several AI tools, each strong at different things. Read the cards, then use the matrix below to pick the right one for a task. Not sure which? Jump to the rule of thumb.

B

Which tool for which task

For each task, find the best starting tool. ★ = best choice · ✓ = works well · — = not suited. Many tasks have more than one good option — pick what you already have access to.

Heads-up on Claude + MicrosoftClaude now has an official Microsoft 365 connector (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint) and a Claude-for-Outlook add-in — but they’re not rolled out at Wilmar yet, pending IT enablement. Until then, for inbox, Teams and SharePoint jobs use Copilot or Power Automate. Claude still works fully on files you upload and on non-Microsoft connectors.

Rule of thumb

  • Working inside an Office app (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)? → Copilot Premium.
  • Big PDF / contract, deep analysis, or build a live tool?Claude.
  • Quick draft, rewrite or summary — or you only have basic Copilot?Copilot Basic.
  • Repetitive file / email routing on a schedule?Power Automate.
  • Coding or ad-hoc number-crunching?Claude or ChatGPT.
